Job Title:

Environmental Sustainability Specialist

 

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This will involve conducting environmental monitoring and sampling activities, collaborating with site departments to ensure understanding of compliance requirements, collecting and reviewing data for environmental reporting, and presenting training and awareness packages to the workforce on environmental matters.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and sampling activities to meet internal and external requirements
  • Collaborate with site departments to ensure understanding of compliance requirements
  • Collect and review data for environmental reporting, including NGERs and NPI
  • Presentation of training and awareness packages to the workforce on environmental matters

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in environmental management in the mining industry or related fields
  • Valid C-class driver's license and 4WD experience
  • Exposure to environmental approval processes and experience in undertaking environmental monitoring and sampling activities
  • Solid understanding of environmental data management and experience in hazard identification and incident reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
