About the Role">

The Stephenson Avenue Extension is a landmark infrastructure project designed to improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and support sustainable urban growth in Perth.

A proactive and experienced Environmental and Sustainability Manager is required to lead the environmental and sustainability functions on the Stephenson Avenue Project.

This role is critical in driving best practice outcomes, ensuring compliance, and aligning with global sustainability vision.

">Key Responsibilities

  • Champion best practice environmental and sustainability outcomes across the project.">
  • Ensure timely identification and compliance with all environmental legislation, approvals, and client specifications.">
  • Promote SMP2025 values and support client sustainability targets.">
  • Ensure project staff understand and implement all system and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) requirements.">
  • Identify and secure necessary resources (personnel, equipment, consultants, systems) to meet environmental, heritage, and sustainability needs.">
  • Liaise with stakeholders in the event of environmental incidents or non-conformances.">
  • Coordinate internal and external audits to drive continuous improvement in environmental and sustainability performance.
">Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 7 years' experience in environmental and sustainability roles within infrastructure or construction projects, with proven experience as a Senior Advisor as a minimum.

Strong understanding of WA environmental legislation and sustainability frameworks.

Experience with Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) ratings and/or sustainability reporting.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex environmental programs.

Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
