Senior Compliance Leader, APAC

We're seeking a senior compliance professional to join us in a strategic leadership role. This senior position plays a pivotal role within the APAC Compliance and Conduct Risk team, responsible for leading regulatory change and compliance management across the APAC region.

In this exciting opportunity, you'll oversee the development and maintenance of compliance frameworks, policies, and systems to ensure effective compliance management. You'll provide expert guidance and assurance to stakeholders, supporting the implementation and ongoing monitoring of robust compliance plans.

You'll lead the regulatory change function, driving the identification, assessment, and implementation of new requirements across the business. Ensure effective change management, compliance alignment, and oversight of obligation management processes.

You'll be responsible for monitoring and assurance activities to assess compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Provide independent oversight, control testing, and thematic reviews to identify emerging risks, evaluate control effectiveness, and recommend enhancements.

Support the preparation of accurate, insightful compliance reports for stakeholders. Provide constructive challenge, advice, and insights on compliance management across the organisation.

We're looking for someone with roughly 10 years of professional experience, and exposure to Line 1 and/or Line 2 compliance roles within APRA-regulated entities or other highly regulated environments.

In addition to this, you'll have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, law, or compliance (professional compliance accreditation highly regarded) or equivalent professional experience
  • Deep practical and technical expertise in compliance including obligation management, compliance plans, regulatory change
  • Knowledge of APRA and broader commercial regulatory environments
  • The ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and with impact to stakeholders, and
  • Leadership attributes with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
