Job Overview

We are seeking experienced individuals to join our team as Deckhands on a permanent full-time basis.

  • About the Position

  • Prepare vessels for transportation, ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, and conduct rescue and lookout duties.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing vessels for departure, ensuring safety and securing them properly.

  • Ensuring the safe departure and arrival of vessels.

  • Providing exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards of safety and comfort.

  • Conducting in-water rescues and lookout duties for guests.

  • Assisting with food service and daily cleaning duties.

  • About You

  • The ideal candidate will be motivated, have a passion for sharing special experiences, and creating lasting memories.

  • You will be a team player with a demonstrated positive attitude, comfortable working on water with extensive deckhand experience, and committed to delivering high-quality professional guest service.

  • Requirements

  • Reliability and self-motivation with a proactive approach, allowing you to adapt to various situations and ensure a positive guest experience.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Marine Operations, with demonstrated deck skills and a strong understanding of marine and tourism environments.

  • Intermediate to advanced swimming skills, along with the ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining high levels of marine safety and compliance.

  • Hold a minimum of Elements of Shipboard Safety or Coxswain Grade 1 certification.

  • Hold a valid Blue Card/ Working with Children's Check.

  • HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid and HLTAID015 - CPR & Advanced Oxygen Therapy certifications.

  • Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
