Launch Master Role

Located in Adelaide's Outer Harbor, this Launch Master role is a key position within our Marine Services Team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide marine services to vessels and maintain the port in Port Adelaide and Outer Harbor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate Flinders Ports launches for pilot transfer, minor maintenance, and servicing of main engines and ancillary equipment;
  • Prepare statistics and reports of vessel activities and performance;
  • Assist with maintenance of port assets as required (i.e. wharf and navigation aids);
  • Use oil pollution response equipment as necessary under the direction of Transport SA or Flinders Ports emergency response coordinators.
About You
  • Master Class V Certificate of Competency and Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 of Competency;
  • Administrative experience and strong computer literacy;
  • Ability and experience working both independently and in a team;
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to problem solve;
  • Current Drivers Licence; and
  • Trade Qualification and/or understanding of Electrical systems highly desired.
