Our client is a mid-sized FMCG company with a global parent company based in the southeast suburbs. With goods being imported and some local manufacturing, they are seeking an experienced professional to fill a contract opportunity for 6 months. This role offers a strong possibility of permanency for the right candidate.

About the Role:

The Supply Planner is responsible for inventory management & planning, ensuring the availability of finished goods & materials to meet the aligned demand plan and budgeted inventory level targets. Key duties include running MRP & taking action where required to ensure inventory availability, generating Production Orders (PRO), Purchase Orders (PO) & Transfer Orders (TO) in line with MRP suggestions, and regular review of all PO's in place, delivery status & DIFOT reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure inventory availability
  • Generate production orders, purchase orders, and transfer orders as per MRP suggestions
  • Monitor and report on delivery status and defective in first out (DIFOT)
  • Maintain and update order status in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Identify supply risks and take corrective actions with demand planning, customer service, and sales teams
  • Liaise with external manufacturers and third-party logistics providers
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, preferably within a FMCG environment and familiarity with top-tier ERP systems. This role would be suitable for someone with a proactive approach to inventory management and a keen eye for detail.

Estimated Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
