About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires 5 days of work from our Head Office (8.30am-4.30pm approx.). As our Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the accurate and efficient management of inventory associated with the maintenance and production of our innovative road safety tech products.

Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, inspecting incoming shipments, organizing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to fulfill critical client orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Receive, store, and dispatch goods, manage inventory transactions in SAP, and handle return to stock items.
  • Quality Control: Identify discrepancies in picking slips and bills of materials and verify receipt and quantities of materials.
  • Logistics Coordination: Prepare requisitions, route shipments, and ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe inventory warehouse and storerooms.
  • Support and Optimization: Assist production with material requests, participate in cycle counts and stock takes, and implement Kanban systems.
  • Collaboration and Compliance: Work cooperatively with all stakeholders, recommend process improvements, and adhere to company policies and standards.
Requirements

We are looking for an organized and logical thinker with a knack for working both independently and within a team. You should be a clear and concise communicator who excels at building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will need to embrace both reactive and scheduled work assignments. Accountability and quality are paramount, and you should thrive on constructive feedback. A passion for customer advocacy is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of electronic components, manufacturing experience, and demonstrated expertise in safe manual handling practices. Proficiency in SAP and ERP, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, is required. Experience in shipping practices and strong communication skills are a must, along with a valid Australian Drivers License. A current Forklift License is highly desirable.
