Technical Engineering Position

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill this technical engineering role. The successful candidate will contribute to complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

This position is within CASG, working on JP9347 Joint Data Networks as a Systems Engineer. Key responsibilities include supporting project planning and execution, conducting requirements development, liaising with stakeholders, and providing mentoring to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting project planning and execution, conducting requirements development, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Providing mentoring to junior engineers and contributing to the delivery of high-quality engineering documentation.
  • Managing technical and integration risks, and applying testing and evaluation techniques across the system development life cycle.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree (or Engineers Australia recognised equivalent), plus ideally Postgraduate qualification(s) in a relevant field.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Analysis, design, review, and delivering high quality engineering documentation to support Government approvals and delivery.
  • Initiative, creativity, and responsibility to perform a range and variety of complex technical work activities with limited guidance.
