Job Description:

The Australian National University is seeking a Student Development Officer to support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support local academic staff and liaise with stakeholders to promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health through curriculum content, recruitment, and retention of students.
  • Develop productive, professional relationships with staff and students.
  • Organize events and activities to engage with the local community and promote the program's goals.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated connections with local Aboriginal community and a contemporary understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples within Australian society.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with staff and students.
  • Developed organisational skills and high-level customer service.
