Co-Curricular Education Leadership

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Director of Co-Curricular Education. This is a rare opportunity to shape the strategic vision, coherence, and quality of our co-curricular life.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading our music, sport, outdoor education, and clubs and enrichment programmes. They will work closely with colleagues to ensure that all co-curricular initiatives are fully integrated with student development, pastoral care, and academic outcomes.

The Director will oversee safety, compliance, partnerships, and business development within the portfolio, ensuring that our co-curricular provision remains innovative, sustainable, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic development and quality assurance of co-curricular programmes
  • Staffing and long-term planning of music, sport, outdoor education, and clubs and enrichment programmes
  • Integration of co-curricular initiatives with student development, pastoral care, and academic outcomes
  • Oversight of safety, compliance, partnerships, and business development within the portfolio

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Ability to implement initiatives, deliver projects, and manage change
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage, influence, and build constructive relationships
  • A clear record of supporting the intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and ethical development of students
  • Proven ability to articulate a clear vision, provide strategic direction, and inspire trust and confidence through empathetic and relational leadership
  • High professional standards, emotional intelligence, and discretion
  • Proven ability to inspire, engage, and unify diverse groups
  • Proven experience in strategic leadership within a complex educational environment
