Senior Image Analyst

We are seeking experienced professionals to design, implement and deploy advanced image processing algorithms in the development of cutting-edge systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in image/signal processing and be proficient in MATLAB and Python.

About the Role:
  • This position is crucial to enhance capabilities that support R&D operations. It involves developing innovative solutions using EO/IR cameras, gimbals or UAV payloads.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop high-level image processing features including object detection, classification and tracking.
  2. Optimise image enhancement techniques (e.g. denoising, sharpening, filtering).
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate image processing solutions with broader optronics systems.
  4. Contribute to system testing, documentation and R&D roadmaps.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, Signal Processing or related field.
  • 5+ years in image/signal processing (defence, aerospace or R&D sector preferred).
  • Proficient in MATLAB and Python.
  • Experience with EO/IR cameras, gimbals or UAV payloads, tracking, image registration and enhancement.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems or GPU-based deployment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • AI/ML experience (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Real-time/embedded implementation knowledge.
  • Experience managing R&D collaborations.

This role requires expertise in image processing and a strong understanding of software development principles. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in computer science and be able to develop efficient algorithms for real-world applications.
