Job Title:

Digital Imagery Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled digital imagery specialist to design and develop image processing algorithms at the intersection of computer vision, sensor fusion, and automatic target recognition (ATR).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design high-level image processing algorithms for electro optical systems.
  • Implement object detection and classification, single and multi-object tracking using MATLAB and Python.
  • Optimise low-level image enhancement techniques including histogram equalisation, deconvolution, denoising, contrast enhancement, sharpening, spatial filtering.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to integrate solutions.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to contribute to technical documentation and performance evaluation plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Physics, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in image/signal processing ideally in defence, aerospace, or research.
  • Strong foundation in signal and image processing.
  • Proficient in MATLAB and Python programming languages.
  • Experience with EO/IR image detection and classification, object tracking and motion prediction, image registration, filtering, and enhancement.
  • Familiarity with EO/IR sensors and gimbals.
  • Experience deploying algorithms on embedded platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
