As a Fleet Supervisor at Visy, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of drivers to ensure daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling and allocation is timely and accurate. You will also develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, customers, drivers, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of drivers to ensure daily operations of the fleet
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders, customers, drivers, and subcontractors
  • Communicating effectively with drivers and customers around planning and delays
  • Conducting proactive assessments of operations to enhance efficiency
  • Managing and monitoring payroll, driver performance, leave entitlements, and truck servicing
  • Loading planning and optimization via solid analytical skills
  • Recognizing opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins through P&L accountability
  • Proactively managing sub-contractors and associated costs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the Transport and Logistics industry
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S, CoR & NHVR legislation
  • SAP, WMS & TMS knowledge is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships internal and externally
