About the Opportunity
We're seeking a dynamic First Nations Partnerships Specialist to lead our efforts in fostering strong partnerships with Traditional Owners and First Nations peoples across Queensland, with a focus on Central Queensland.
In this critical role, you'll work closely with First Nations communities to create mutually beneficial outcomes in the renewable energy space.
Your contributions will shape our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals while promoting cultural understanding and positive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain lasting partnerships with First Nations communities.
- Lead the co-design of Relationship Agreements that create real community benefits.
- Support First Nations businesses by identifying opportunities within our supply chains and procurement processes.
- Drive employment, training, and education opportunities for First Nations people in our projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams and development partners to promote best-practice engagement strategies.
About You
- Strong experience working with First Nations communities, especially in regional or energy-related projects.
- Skilled in managing social impacts and navigating community sensitivities.
- Deep understanding of Indigenous cultural protocols and customs, with a commitment to fostering inclusive environments.
- Experienced in supporting Indigenous Land Use Agreements and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.
- Trauma-aware and healing-informed practice experience is highly valued.
