The OpportunityAt the Ulan Underground Mine, we have an exciting opening for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Team.
As a key team member, you will report directly to the Shift Supervisor and drive performance through efficient maintenance processes.
About YouYou will demonstrate technical proficiency in maintaining and fault-finding mechanical systems and equipment. With exceptional teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and a strong safety focus, you will:
- Safely operate and maintain underground mining equipment and heavy machinery to meet target outputs.
- Manage risks associated with maintenance activities.
- Carry out planned maintenance and scheduling.
- Attend to breakdowns and apply suitable fault-find strategies.
Working closely with engineering and production personnel, you will achieve safety and performance outcomes.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate has:
- A Mechanical Trade Qualification.
- A strong safety focus with a sound understanding of risk management and safe work procedures.
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
- Previous experience working underground (preferably coal).
