Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role:

As a result of continued growth, we are seeking to expand our team of skilled technicians at a major thermal coal mine located northeast of Mudgee.

The mine operates a fleet of heavy machinery including CAT trucks, graders, dozers and excavators.

Across 4 panel lifestyle roster crews, each under the guidance of experienced supervisors, who ensure technicians have necessary resources, tools and support to carry out work effectively.

Techincians complete planned and unplanned maintenance of mining equipment, split into workshop or field-based maintenance sections.

  • Perform repairs, maintenance and inspections on mobile machinery to ensure optimal working condition;
  • Prioritise and undertake specified and/or general work to required standard and within timeframes;
  • Work with planning and scheduling teams to assist in increasing reliability and availability targets;
  • Maintain safe clean and healthy work environment;
  • Minimise production downtime;
  • Using libraries such as SIS;
  • Participate in and complete shift change site meetings communications or reporting requirements to required standard;
  • Actively engage in Continuous Improvement Program;
  • Compliance with site Safety and Health Management system requirements.
