Job Title: Physical Education Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team.

Job Description

This is a temporary part-time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026. The role involves teaching Physical Education to students in Kindergarten to Year 6 at Stella Maris Catholic Primary School, Shellharbour.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, creating a safe and supportive learning environment, and supporting the growth of students in faith and improvement in learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/careers and the wider school community.
