Industrial Operator Role
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced industrial operator to join our production team at our state-of-the-art facility in Wollongong, NSW. As an industrial operator, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our plant, ensuring efficient and safe running of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various plant equipment to ensure optimal production output
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plant machinery and systems
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to plant operations
- Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve overall plant objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as a plant operator or in a similar production role within the mining industry
- Front end loader experience essential
- Forklift truck licence required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment
- Commitment to upholding health, safety and environmental standards
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
