Job Title: Operational Excellence Manager

Toll Group is seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join our Steel team. This permanent full-time opportunity will be based at our customer site in Port Kembla, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strategic leadership and direction for all activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards.
  2. Assist the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Steel Division, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and effective management of resources.
  3. Foster a culture of operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across the operations.
  4. Oversee project management activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the support of Toll shared resources.
  5. Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management.
  6. Develop detailed project plans to track progress and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  7. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  8. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 2-3 years experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • High attention to detail, planning, and organizing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, and solution-focused.
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Current unrestricted driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to other local sites.
