Our team is seeking a dedicated Youth Career Developer to join our effort in supporting young people overcome barriers to education and employment.
As a key member of our clinical team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide individualized support to young people facing challenges in their journey towards career success.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of young people referred through various channels.
- Co-create personalized career profiles and employment plans with each participant.
- Offer hands-on assistance with job searching, applications, and interview preparation.
- Establish strong partnerships with local employers to open opportunities and provide workplace support.
- Maintain close connections with education providers, employment agencies, and community services.
- Qualifications and/or experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, youth work, or a related field.
- Passion for working with young people, including an understanding of the challenges they face.
- Knowledge of issues affecting individuals with mental health in accessing work and study.
- Excellent engagement skills and the ability to build relationships with young people, employers, and community stakeholders.
Experience with the IPS model and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people is highly valued.
