Structural Designer Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Designer to join our team in Adelaide. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Lead Structural Engineer with project delivery, producing and maintaining technical drawings, and developing detailed design and production of structural drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Lead Structural Engineer with project delivery, including scope, quantities, cost, and schedule.
  • Produce and maintain technical drawings using 2D/3D CAD software.
  • Perform conceptual layout work under the supervision of the Lead Structural Engineer and the Lead Structural Designer.
  • Develop detailed design and production of structural drawings for mine underground and surface facilities, adhering to relevant standards and project requirements.
  • Incorporate safety into design.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Civil engineering diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations, and codes pertinent to design and systems related to mining projects.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software packages such as Bentley MicroStation Structural Packages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good safety awareness.
  • Understanding of mechanical/structural technology and other discipline requirements.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, focus on task completion, and initiative.
