Operations Management Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Operations Manager to lead the delivery of Facilities Maintenance, Repairs and Minor Works across a key contract in N.W. Melbourne.

This role involves direct leadership, management and coordination of all aspects relating to Facilities Maintenance, Repair, Minor Works, Project Management, Service delivery and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including full reports (progress, weekly, monthly and annual).

They will also have prior experience managing the provision of Minor Works, Capital Works, Pro-active and Reactive Maintenance and Cleaning/Waste Support Services working across large single or portfolio of sites.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the management, guidance and operational direction of the contract/s, ensuring that best practice Facilities Management Solutions are implemented, stakeholder engagement is fully undertaken and works delivered within expected and agreed timescales under commercial arrangements and ISO55001.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct leadership, management and coordination of all aspects relating to the Facilities Maintenance, Repair, Minor Works, Project Management, Service delivery and subcontractors.
  • Outstanding communication skills: Verbal and Written including full Reports (Progress, Weekly, Monthly, Annual).
  • Lead Project Management Services for all small projects, fit outs, change of use requirements, capital expenditure works and life cycle management.
  • Provide regular reporting for all stakeholders including service delivery, planning and scheduling, KPI reporting and analysis of trending.
  • Prior experience managing the provision of Minor Works, Capital Works, Pro-active and Reactive Maintenance and Cleaning/Waste Support Services working across a large single or portfolio of sites.
Requirements:

Tertiary or Trade qualification in Engineering (M&E/HVAC), Business Management or Facilities Management with 8+ years' experience within Facilities or Engineering Management, with at least 5 years at Contracts/Key Account Manager level.
