Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to take charge of estimating processes for our portfolio of projects. As a detail-oriented leader with a knack for precision, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects by providing accurate cost estimates.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the estimation process for projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Analyze project documents, including blueprints, specifications, and timelines, to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, validate costs, and refine estimation methodologies.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, supplier quotes, and subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain estimation templates, tools, and documentation for consistent use across projects.
  • Present estimates to stakeholders, providing insights into cost drivers and potential risks.
  • Monitor project budgets, update estimates as needed, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide junior estimators to enhance team capability and performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within software consultancy or professional services environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents and project requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and present cost insights to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • A technical qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology is required (or equivalent experience). Project Management experience will also be well regarded.
