Senior Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic bidding team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions within the estimating process.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior Estimator to leverage their expertise in cost estimation, risk analysis, and project coordination.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, quantity surveying, or engineering, with experience working on large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation: Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates, including cost escalation analysis, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  2. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
  3. Project Coordination: Coordinate team activities, conduct tender cost estimate review meetings, and support the preparation and development of construction methodologies and programs.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and ensure seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar equivalent.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience working on large-scale projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Project, as well as estimating software such as Pronamics Expert and Bluebeam.
