Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Sofitel. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food prepared and presented meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Culinary Leadership: Lead and motivate our kitchen team to achieve exceptional results, while maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop innovative and creative menus that showcase our hotel's culinary expertise.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our kitchen inventory effectively, ensuring that we maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they meet our high standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of post-apprenticeship experience in a 5-star environment.
  • Culinary Skills: Proven culinary skills and knowledge, with the ability to create innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Food Safety: A strong understanding of food safety principles and practices, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy kitchen environment.
