With breathtaking 180-degree views over Collins and Exhibitions Streets, Society offers unique dining experiences across various spaces, including the main dining area, private dining options, the Lillian Terrace, and an upscale lounge bar. Located in a globally recognized hub for fashion, arts, and commerce, the historic 80 Collins building represents a new chapter for LUCAS Restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior chefs in the daily kitchen operations, leveraging your expertise.
  • Employ appropriate techniques and adhere to recipes when preparing menu items.
  • Ensure your section and team operate at peak efficiency.
  • Organize, mentor, and guide the team to meet LUCAS Restaurants' standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience as a Chef at Commis Chef level or higher in a premium, a-la-carte dining environment.
  • Management candidates should possess a solid grasp of management principles.
  • Exemplary leadership skills with a focus on staff development are essential for management roles.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure service situations.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is required.
