Network Systems Administrator

Position Overview: As a vital member of the Australian Defence Force, you will ensure the integrity and security of our advanced ICT networks.
Role Responsibilities: Your primary focus will be on the administration, upkeep, and operation of sophisticated network systems, ensuring seamless communication both at sea and on land.
Training and Development: Regardless of your current experience level, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, enabling you to acquire essential skills from day one.
Daily Tasks: Your typical day will involve:
- Overseeing and maintaining high-performance ICT networks connecting various stakeholders.
- Conducting network diagnostics and implementing disaster recovery protocols.
- Evaluating network vulnerabilities and creating secure cyberspace environments for operations.
- Implementing cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information.
- Providing expert advice on network and security matters to Command and crew.
- Managing cryptographic equipment to safeguard classified ICT networks.
- Utilizing deployable ICT networks during operational missions.
- Coordinating help desk support for deployed ICT networks.
Additional Skills: As a sailor, you will also acquire diverse skills, enhancing your capability to support the ship in various roles, including security, firefighting, and first aid.
