About This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Attorney to join our legal team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-level legal advice on complex commercial matters.

  • This includes procurement and contractual issues, as well as advice related to State Purchase Contracts and public tenders.
  • You will also draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including ICT related contracts.
  • Additionally, you will advise on privacy, data governance, cyber security, employment, and intergovernmental agreements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic legal support to senior stakeholders and contribute to ministerial briefings and decision-making.
  • Work independently on complex legal issues, providing authoritative advice and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least 4 years post-admission experience gained in a private practice, in-house or public sector environment.
  • Experience in a non-contentious area of practice such as corporate/commercial IT, banking & finance, property, construction or employment.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
