About the Role

DroneShield Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Content Writer to join their team in Sydney, New South Wales. The successful candidate will report to the Digital Design Team Lead and be responsible for creating high-quality marketing content in the defence space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain external-facing copy across all digital and print materials, including brochures, presentations, adverts, press releases, and blogs.
  • Schedule, write, and maintain social media posts to engage with the target audience.
  • Write and maintain copy on DroneShield's website to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal Design, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of marketing materials.
  • Point of contact for external media agencies to ensure timely and effective communication.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in copywriting or content writing in the defence and technology sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Writing, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in the STEM sector.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills, with the ability to absorb technical details and communicate them effectively.
  • Experience with SEO optimisation, Mailchimp, Squarespace, and Hootsuite is a plus.
  • Familiarity with writing in American English is a plus.
