Overview


This successful and growing renewable energy infrastructure specialist is a leading player in the HV EPC space. They pride themselves on being a smaller, more agile alternative to a tier one contractor, with a solid track record in the industry.



Job Description


We are seeking highly experienced Design Engineers to join our team. The primary role will involve performing concept and detailed design for primary disciplines, including drafting and studies. You will also conduct design reviews focusing on single line diagram and substation layout & elevation for cables, earthing and various primary studies as well as cross-discipline design reviews, including safety in design, HAZID, HAZCON, HAZOP.



Key Responsibilities



  • Designing high-voltage substations up to 330kV for renewable energy projects
  • Conducting design reviews and ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Liaising with project teams to resolve design issues and optimize solutions


Requirements


To be considered, you will need:



  • A minimum of 7+ years' experience in HV and renewable infrastructure projects and AS 2067 from either the NSP or Contractor side
  • Proficiency in primary design, including substation layout, electrical clearance, short-circuit forces, EMF as well as Corona, cable, earthing, and lighting studies
  • Familiarity with HV equipment and proficiency in AUTOCAD and/or MicroStation

Salary


The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.



Location


This role is based in Sydney, with regular travel to site required.
