Learning and Development Trainer

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Learning and Development Team as a key member in delivering high-quality training programs and support services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of learning and development principles, strong presentation and facilitation skills, and the ability to assess training needs and develop appropriate content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging training programs aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify training requirements for individuals and teams.
  • Create effective training materials, including presentations, handouts, and multimedia resources.
  • Facilitate training sessions both in person and virtually, ensuring an interactive and supportive learning environment.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback analysis and performance assessments.
  • Provide ongoing support to trainees, including follow-up sessions and additional resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with all areas of Operations to continuously improve training content and delivery methods based on industry trends.

Main Tasks:

  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions tailored to meet the specific needs of the organisation and teams.
  • Deliver Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training.
  • Create visually appealing and effective training materials that enhance the learning experience for participants.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of training outcomes to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in adult learning principles.

Essential Requirements:

  • Obtained minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment advantageous.
  • Current Working with Children Blue Card, or willingness to obtain.
  • Availability to travel and stay throughout South East Queensland and Darling Downs, Granite Belt.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Ability to work in Australia.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning and development principles.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop appropriate content.
  • Experience in using a variety of training methods and techniques.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and techniques.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for supporting young people, families and promoting family-centred approaches.
