Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Child Family Support Professional to join our team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in delivering expert advice and tailored support to families and carers.
About the Role
The Child Family Support Professional will be responsible for developing and evaluating educational programs, providing direct support, case management, and after-hours assistance as needed. They will also collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to deliver culturally safe outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and evaluating educational programs
- Providing direct support, case management, and after-hours assistance as needed
- Collaborating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to deliver culturally safe outcomes
- Guiding staff to enhance professional development and service delivery
- Building strong networks with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements
- Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline (or 5+ years of equivalent experience)
- Applied knowledge of child protection frameworks, including knowledge of relevant legislation
- Demonstrated ability in assessment, planning, and supporting families with complex needs
- Two years' experience working with children and families in statutory care, ideally within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in culturally inclusive practices with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
- Current driver's license and ability to acquire necessary certifications
