Specialist Family Violence Practitioner

Job Overview:

As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, you will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment to provide crisis response, risk assessment, and case management for women and children escaping family violence.   • Crisis Response: Provide timely and effective responses to family violence crises, prioritizing victim survivor safety and empowerment.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats to client safety.
  • Case Management: Deliver trauma-informed and strength-based support to clients, focusing on their needs and goals.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles.
  • Experience in family violence crisis intervention and case management.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, trauma-informed care, and family violence frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
