About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Cafe Manager to join our dynamic team in a thriving cafe. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and success.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar style venue or role within the hospitality sector, with excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills. You will be confident in your ability to manage a busy shift while maintaining high standards, and possess a passion for helping the business achieve new heights.

In this role, you will directly assist the owner/manager in leading the team to deliver top-notch customer service, while ensuring the venue is well-maintained and operated efficiently.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Hiring and training the Front of House Team
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the venue at all times
  • Ensure service runs smoothly
  • Be creative in helping bring new ideas to the table to enhance the venue and the customer experience
  • Recognise and reform areas of the venue that need to change to improve performance
  • Weekly ordering, stock control and rotation
  • Rostering - maintaining wage costs within budgets
  • Directly work with owner/manager & head chef to ensure smooth running of operations

About You
  • Must have experience in a similar style venue or role within the hospitality sector
  • Communicate, interact & lead our small team effectively
  • Be confident in your skills of managing a busy shift whilst ensuring the venues high standards are kept too
  • Be professional at all times
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise
  • Be creative in coming up with new ideas
  • Possess a passion for helping the business grow and achieve new heights
  • Must be willing to learn and learn quickly
  • Must be available throughout the week
