We're looking for a highly skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the development of medium-term mine plans.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, utilising expertise in pit design, dump scheduling, and haulage analysis to drive efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and communicate actionable mine plans
  • Collaborate across disciplines to align plans with short-term planners, geologists, operations, and environmental and safety teams
  • Optimise operations using Vulcan, Deswik, Leica FMS, and MinVu software
  • Drive efficiency by identifying productivity enhancements and cost-saving opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders through reports and presentations
  • Mentor junior engineers and champion continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • 5+ years of mining engineering experience, preferably in open-cut coal operations
  • Proficiency in Vulcan, Deswik, Leica FMS, and MinVu software
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • A safety-first mindset and ability to foster positive workplace culture
  • Flexibility to work autonomously and collaboratively
