About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading a mining crew to achieve production targets safely and efficiently. Your expertise and leadership skills will be essential in ensuring that our operations are optimized for maximum productivity and minimal risk.

  • You will work closely with the Production Supervisor to coordinate dispatch personnel, production operators, and equipment to meet production schedules.
  • Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be crucial in identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during operations.
  • You will be responsible for performing regular inspections and completing reports as per site policies, ensuring that our operations are compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • In addition to your technical skills, you will also need to possess strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills to effectively manage your team and communicate with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A solid understanding of open-cut coal mining operations is essential for this role.
  • You will need to have proven leadership and people management experience, with a track record of successfully managing teams and achieving goals.
  • A relevant qualification in the coal mining industry is highly valued, as is a current S123 and G2 certification.
  • You will also need to possess verified machinery skills and a current drivers licence.
