Longwall Superintendent Job Opening

We are seeking an experienced Longwall Superintendent to lead our underground team in achieving operational excellence.

This critical leadership role requires strong operational acumen, exceptional people management skills, and a focus on delivering production outcomes aligned with site objectives.

The successful candidate will oversee daily longwall operations, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear direction and leadership to crews working on the longwall face
  • Collaborating closely with Maintenance, Tech Services, and other departments to deliver seamless production outcomes
  • Conducting pre shift briefings, inspections, and ensuring effective hazard identification and risk control
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement, safety leadership, and team accountability

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in longwall coal mining operations, with proven leadership in a similar role
  • Statutory Supervisor qualifications (e.g., S123, G2 or equivalent) - highly desirable
  • Previous experience working in a NSW or QLD underground coal mine
