Construction Craftsman

As a skilled Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing sheet flooring, erecting lightweight steel wall frames and roof trusses, and ensuring all necessary materials are on site on time.

You will also be expected to team up with colleagues, set out buildings on site, and set up building levels as per datum and drawings provided.

In addition, you will be required to install exterior wall claddings, install linings, panelling, and mouldings, and undertake maintenance and repair work as needed.

Your duties may also include modifying furniture products to suit specific requirements, close out punch list items prior to and after client inspections, and perform any other carpentry duties as required.

You will be expected to interface with various departments to maximize workflow, day-to-day planning, and decision-making, delegation of work between teams to maximize workflow, and keep abreast of production schedule requirements.

In addition, you will be required to maintain an open and honest relationship with your peers, ensure you strive to complete all works to a high standard, plan, organize, and direct resources in a safe and cost-effective manner, and monitor your performance against pre-determined targets.

You will also be expected to lead by example and be fully accountable for your performance indicators and that of your team, actively participate in planning and other aspects of business improvement and development, and support all levels of your team including any apprentices.
