Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Professional to support our project team in coordinating and implementing the Company's HSSE Management program.

The successful candidate will provide field support on safety, occupational health, and environmental issues, and monitor objectives and targets to ensure full implementation at our locations.

About the Role
  • Ensure comprehensive knowledge of project HSSE requirements, specifically the HSSE plan, and guarantee its full implementation and on-site availability for project staff.
  • Facilitate and provide support and guidance on effective HSSE risk management by performing daily reviews on StepBack and Job Hazard Assessments (JHA).
  • Promote hazard identification and reporting, and identify unsafe working conditions and behaviours.
  • Monitor compliance with the permit to work system on work sites.
  • Ensure the emergency response preparedness plan is fully implemented; educate employees on emergency protocols and participate in ERP drills as per schedules.
  • Conduct Level 1 HSSE inspections as per the project HSSE Plan and report findings to the HSSE supervisor/manager.
  • Verify that employees have relevant competencies and certification to perform their work (e.g., crane drivers, equipment operators).
  • Report incidents promptly, preserve the incident area, and support investigations to gather required data.
  • Guarantee toolbox talks are conducted in applicable languages and report shortfalls to the HSSE Supervisor/Manager.
Requirements
  • NVQ or NFQ Level 3 Qualification; IOSH; OSHA 30.
  • Strong hands-on experience in field-based risk management, with the ability to identify and act on unsafe conditions or behaviours.
  • Confident communicator capable of delivering safety messages to internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; solid understanding of root cause analysis and investigation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of HSSE requirements in construction, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001; able to perform and close out site inspections efficiently.
