Job Title

Engineering Documentation Officer role involves managing, monitoring and tracking the identification, registration, distribution and verification of technical publications, approved data and engineering policy and procedures manuals to support Engineering and Maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities include processing incoming technical data and information from external sources (OEMs, Other Operators), internal technical data and information, engineering and maintenance related regulatory approvals, managing contents on Company iPADS/Applications, maintaining access to Original Equipment Manufacturers log-ins by users and continuous improvement in means and methods of handling documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A diploma or equivalent in a relevant discipline, such as librarian, IT specialisations or suitable specific work experience relevant to this role with detailed knowledge of technical library functions is desirable.
  • Excellent computer skills particularly Word, Excel & Visio.
  • Management of hardware and software systems used for delivery of maintenance data electronically.
  • Ability to manage revision, authorisation, and publication cycles for various technical documents.
  • Ability to review and recommend improvements to procedure.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Sound communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to coordinate and prioritise assigned tasks in a logical manner.
  • An awareness of documentation and/or technical data used by Engineering and Maintenance within an aviation environment.
  • Understanding of revision control, release cycle and document/data updates cycles.
