
Indigenous Business Development Specialist

As a key member of our Member Services Team, you will be responsible for fostering relationships with corporate, government, and not-for-profit organisations to increase their business activity with Indigenous suppliers.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement initiatives to support and grow our Indigenous workforce, championing cultural values and integrity within the organisation.
- Assist members in achieving their supplier diversity objectives through training, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and provision of relevant tools and systems.
- Build and maintain close relationships with key member contacts, representing Supply Nation in meetings and events with various stakeholders.
- Establish yourself as a supplier diversity expert, acquiring, initiating, onboarding, and retaining members while providing matching services to introduce relevant Indigenous businesses.
- Work collaboratively with government and corporate stakeholders, as well as partner organisations, to increase the capacity of Indigenous businesses.
- Maintain accurate and complete information in Supply Nation's customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and cultures, as well as the issues impacting Indigenous Australians in business.
- Experience working with large corporate organisations, knowledge of government Indigenous procurement policies, and ability to interact with all levels of business.
- Digital competence in tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong administrative and communication skills, including time management, prioritisation, report writing, and presentation development.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a positive approach to customer service and managing expectations of Supply Nation members, partners, and suppliers.
