Vegetation Ecologist Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vegetation Ecologist to join our team of environmental experts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of natural resource planning projects, including wetland assessments and vegetation inventories.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, ecology, or a related field, and will be proficient in British Columbia's biogeoclimatic ecosystem classification system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct wetland assessments and vegetation inventories with a focus on communities and species of concern.
- Develop environmental assessments and mitigation plans for municipal, provincial, and federal regulators in multiple sectors.
- Work on a variety of natural resource planning projects, including natural area inventories and biophysical assessments.
Requirements:
- Proficient in British Columbia's biogeoclimatic ecosystem classification system.
- Advanced skills in technical writing and project execution.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment under deadlines and lift 50lbs.
