Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Valuation Analyst to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a Data Valuation Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large volumes of motor vehicle sales data to identify price trends and movements. You will also be working closely with our Sales team to provide residual value recommendations for customer quotations and competitive tenders.

This role involves setting and managing the end of lease (residual) value of vehicles and maintenance budgets for FleetPartners Australia and New Zealand. You will be required to review and recommend residual value positions for all vehicles to be quoted by the business and recommend maintenance budgets for all quotable vehicles within various asset classes.

As a key member of our Risk department, you will be responsible for running monthly valuations of the current portfolio, analyzing outputs, and providing insights to support business decisions. You will also be expected to proactively identify opportunities to improve day-to-day processes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysis of large volumes of motor vehicle sales data to identify price trends and movements
  • Residual value recommendations for customer quotations and competitive tenders
  • Review and recommendation of residual value positions for all vehicles to be quoted by the business
  • Recommendation of maintenance budgets for all quotable vehicles within various asset classes
  • Running monthly valuations of the current portfolio and analysis of outputs
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or commercial discipline e.g. Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar
  • Working experience in a commercial analytical role including valuation, forecasting, pricing and costing
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL & Microsoft Office Suite
  • An appreciation of motor vehicles
  • Sound experience in the quantitative analysis of data and application of qualitative insight to derive forecast valuations
