We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, performing maintenance and servicing of diesel engines and heavy vehicles, and ensuring the highest standards of performance.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical issues both in the workshop and on-site, ensuring minimal downtime for client operations
  • Perform regular maintenance and servicing of diesel engines and heavy vehicles
  • Conduct rebuilds on diesel engines as required, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance
  • Install and fit vehicle accessories, customisations and upgrades
  • Perform basic general fabrication and welding tasks to support mechanical repairs and upgrades
  • Interpret parts requirements, order necessary parts and components and maintain accurate stock levels in accordance with company procedures
  • Provide high-quality service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental standards, maintaining a safe work environment for both you and your team
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence (Essential)
  • Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence - MR/HR/HC (Highly beneficial)
  • Applicants must have completed a suitable Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship to be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a workshop environment, with hands on experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
  • Experience working on Mercedes and Freightliner Heavy Vehicles will be highly regarded
  • Proven ability to maintain safety standards and work to high operational standards
  • Qualified general mechanics will be considered
