Civil project managers are pivotal in ensuring the timely, budget-friendly, and quality-compliant completion of construction projects. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned civil project manager to lead our client's team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to spearhead high-profile civil engineering projects from inception to delivery. The successful candidate will have a proven background in managing waste water projects and will oversee project planning, programming, and resourcing.
- Review and interpret project documentation, including drawings, contracts, and specifications.
- Oversee project planning, programming, and resourcing from inception to delivery.
- Attend post-tender meetings and manage pre-award correspondence with clients.
- Work closely with site personnel to set up and deliver projects successfully.
- Prepare, monitor, and update project programs, managing extensions of time where required.
- Ensure QA, safety, environmental, and risk controls are in place and maintained.
- Conduct site visits and meetings to oversee project progress and performance.
- Manage procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiations and claims.
- Handle project variations, RFIs, progress claims, invoices, and final completion documentation.
- Maintain strong client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships throughout delivery.
- Resolve defects, disputes, and ensure profitability across projects.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within Australia.
- A proven background in managing waste water projects.
- Civil engineering qualifications are essential.
- A strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, contracts, and specifications.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- A strong commercial mindset with proven ability to deliver projects profitably.
- The ability to lead and collaborate effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
