Senior Data Specialist

As a seasoned data professional, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients develop actionable strategies and drive value through expert knowledge and client relationship skills.

The ideal candidate possesses experience with Google Data Products (GTM, GA4, BigQuery), Adobe Experience Cloud (Analytics, Launch, AEP) or Amplitude to oversee or participate in data collection implementation and drive value through reporting and analysis. Understanding CRM & CDP landscapes is beneficial.

This role offers opportunities for growth within the AUNZ team and APAC data team, with clear progression into leadership, opportunities for project innovation and product development, and the potential to advance analytics and data practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Data Analytics Platforms and Data Collection to clients via overseeing tagging and analytics frameworks, and executing analysis and insight initiatives.
  • Develop analytics and data strategies for large brands with a focus on measurably lifting their business.
  • Share data and marketing analytics expertise with clients and the Monks team; act as a thought leader through consultative discovery and recommendations, contributing to knowledge growth.
  • Manage relationships and projects for enterprise clients from a delivery perspective.
  • Assist clients in understanding the importance of measurement and provide best-practice guidelines for data strategy and technical implementations.
  • Assist the data team with new go-to-market initiatives and solutions.
  • Client onboarding: Perform digital audits for prospective and existing clients, recording findings and making recommendations across digital properties and data reporting environments.
  • Data management & reporting: Manage data reporting platforms (Analytics) and aggregation tools (e.g., BigQuery).
  • Conceptualise and build POC-level AI-based tools for analysis, insights, and NLP-enabled agents.
Requirements
  • Approximately 5 years of marketing-focused data & analytics experience, with at least 2 years of client-facing work, ideally in a digital marketing consulting firm, agency, or advertiser.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, autonomy, and proactivity.
