About the Employer:

A leading company in the Hunter Valley specializes in asphalt manufacturing, construction, testing, haulage, traffic management, profiling, stabilisation and spray seal.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in estimating, tender preparation, and submission. Responsibilities include assessing tenders, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring accurate documentation completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate tenders to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare tender estimates in collaboration with Business Development & Operations teams.
  • Engage with clients during tender stages to gather essential information.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow up on projects post-submission.
  • Enhance Quality Assurance procedures related to tendering.
  • Manage handover meetings with construction personnel.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Estimation, ideally in Asphalt or Civil works.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of technical standards for estimating and project costings.
  • Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

This role is based at their offices in Newcastle. Therefore, the successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Newcastle on a full-time basis.

An estimated annual salary of $90,000 - $110,000 is expected for this position, depending on qualifications and experience.
