Job Role Overview:

The role of the Men's Engagement Advisor is a key position within the Population Health Team, responsible for developing and delivering primary prevention activities aimed at engaging men and boys in preventing gender-based violence.

This includes implementing current and emerging projects through workshop delivery and community capacity building initiatives.

To be successful in this role, applicants will require a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Health Promotion/Public Health, Social Work/Community Development/Education or a related discipline.

Relevant experience and a strong commitment to stopping gendered violence before it starts are also essential. Furthermore, an understanding of primary prevention strategies for gender-based violence and gender equitable practice when engaging men and boys is crucial.

  • Designing workshop outlines, including identifying learning needs, creating content, establishing timelines and evaluating workshops
  • Relevant knowledge or experience in project management
  • A commitment to social justice, including the prevention of gender-based violence and inclusion of diverse populations

This is an ongoing part-time role with a negotiable salary dependent on experience.
