About the Opportunity:

Ignite is seeking an IT Technical Specialist to join our dynamic Strategy, Design, and Architecture division. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential ICT Architecture services, helping shape the future of our organization.

Job Description:

As an IT Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and driving critical initiatives within our IT Strategy, Design, and Architecture division. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our organization by providing valuable insights, optimizing IT services, and staying at the forefront of technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver position papers for new business initiatives, business cases, risk assessments, reference architectures, and standards for non-standard initiatives.

Ensure implementation aligns with best practices and design, providing ongoing assurance to delivery teams.

Address future IT challenges and keep the agency current with industry trends in enterprise architecture.

Drive automation opportunities in infrastructure and application deployment, maintenance, and operations.

Document and review "as-built" architecture and documentation.

Ideal Candidate:

Offers expert guidance on complex IT issues, including risk mitigation strategies.

Collaborates with stakeholders to manage and implement IT projects using project management and development methodologies.

Coordinates and negotiates ICT technology, service, and infrastructure acquisitions, contracts, and budgets.

Demonstrates strong leadership, delivering technology solutions, services, and infrastructure while leveraging technical expertise.

Translates strategic goals into technical deliverables, staying current with market trends.

Prioritizes system sustainability, longevity, and operability when designing solutions.

Proficient in Microsoft-based ecosystems, including OS, networking, web hosting, and databases.

Defines enterprise architecture policies, standards, principles, reference architectures, and development procedures.
