Job Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Stores Officer to join our busy Department on a permanent full-time basis.

This position requires heavy lifting and manual labor, to be successful you'll be able to complete these tasks in a safe and effective manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensuring adequate stock is available as and when required
  • Responsible for the ordering, receiving, and storing of stock in relevant locations
  • Maintaining stock levels in accordance with hospital purchasing and inventory control policies and procedures
  • Maintaining provision of usage reports to ensure stock controls enable organisational objectives
Key Requirements
  • Previous supply/purchasing experience
  • Experience using SAP/other computerised inventory control system
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
  • Computer literacy skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft
  • Hold a current QLD drivers license and forklift license
  • Previous experience in a Hospital environment supply role
  • Qualification in Purchasing or SAP
